Brian Tomzack
Varsity Coach
Brian joined Foothill in 2016, first as an assistant varsity coach and then stepping into the head coach position, where he continues to share his love and knowledge of the game with student-athletes. He has led Foothill to two league championships and seen 10 of his players compete in CIF.
A golfer himself, Brian has been playing for 40+ years. Through his passion for the game and a desire to see players excel, he started a Foothill off-season program for girls and boys, where many develop and hone their skills and proficiency.
Brian is a graduate of Irvine Valley College and California State University Fullerton with credentials in teaching. Victoria, his wife of 23 years, has been involved with the Foothill golf program as long as he has. They have a son, Andrew, who is a PGA instructor at Tustin Ranch Golf Club.
Ramon Barrera
Junior Varsity Coach
Ramon is a passionate coach with 7 years experience helping golfers of all levels improve their game. With a strong focus on fundamentals, Ramon emphasizes proper technique, mental focus, and consistent practice to develop well-rounded players.
With a motivational approach, Ramon inspires athletes to push their limits, and achieve their personal best, both on and off the course. He is dedicated to fostering a love for the game and building a solid foundation for long-term success.
